How it works.
How is my commission calculated?
You earn 50% of what your audience actually pays. When someone applies your code, they get 20% off the plan price. Your commission is half of that discounted amount. For example, the Pro plan is $99/month. With the 20% discount they pay $79.20, and you earn $39.60. Starter works out to $3.60 per monthly subscriber and Plus to $19.60. Annual subscriptions generate a larger one-time commission.
Why does the discount and commission only apply to the first payment?
Instead of spreading a smaller commission — say 10% — across every renewal, we offer a larger upfront commision of 50% of the first payment. Tracking recurring commissions over months means more reconciliation, more edge cases, and harder payouts to verify. With a single first-payment commission, you get a meaningful, immediate payout; your audience gets a real discount when they subscribe; and everything can be calculated and audited from a single Stripe charge. Simple for you, simple for us.
How does Unni track which subscriptions came from my code?
Every creator code is unique to you. When a user applies your code at checkout, Stripe records it against their subscription. We generate a report directly from Stripe to calculate your earnings, so there is no manual counting and no guesswork. You can request a copy of the report at any time.
How and when do I get paid?
Approved commissions are paid monthly, within the first week of the following month, provided your payable balance is at least $50. We support payments to virtually any country that accepts international transfers via Stripe, including bank transfers and other supported payout methods in your region.
Does the commission apply to monthly and annual subscriptions?
Yes. The creator code works on both. Annual subscriptions generate a larger one-time commission because the first subscription period is paid upfront. If a user subscribes annually, you earn 50% of the discounted annual price in a single payout.
What if a subscriber gets a refund or cancels right away?
Commissions are paid on confirmed, non-refunded charges. Refunds, chargebacks, failed payments, and payment processor fees may reduce the final payable amount. We calculate commissions based on what actually clears.
What about taxes?
You are responsible for declaring and paying any taxes applicable to your earnings in your jurisdiction. Unni does not withhold taxes on partner payments. We recommend consulting a local accountant or tax advisor if you are unsure of your obligations.
How do I know how many subscriptions my code has driven?
You can request a Stripe-generated report at any point and we will send it to you. It shows every subscription tied to your creator code, the plan, the date, and the amount paid.
What if someone signs up without using my code?
Only subscriptions where your creator code was applied at checkout count toward your commission. We encourage you to remind your audience to use the code — it saves them 20% and it is the only way for the referral to be tracked.
Do I need to disclose that I'm a UNNI partner?
Yes. If you may earn a commission, your audience should know. We'll give you simple wording you can copy.
